With Moab Cluster Manager, an administrator can control operational mode and settings for system behavior, logging, simulation, scheduling optimizations, and other facilities. Each of the tabs presents a graphical interface to the following areas:
  • Control Panel - is a "remote control" interface when Moab is in Simulation mode.
  • Operating Mode - changes the mode of the scheduler to Normal, Test, Interactive or Simulation
  • System Setting - allows an administrator to change the Name, Host, Port and Home Directory of Moab
  • System Options - presents a dialog to select the desired Feedback and Notification programs along with the Node and Job Purge Time Limits
  • Log Setting - handles all of the logging parameters, from where to store the log, it's maximum size and the verbose level
  • Simulation Settings - handle the simulation settings, such as which Workload Trace and Resource Trace files to use
  • Backfill - aids in specifying the depth, policy (and attribute), chunk size and chunk duration for backfilling
  • Profiling - controls whether profiling is enable for the default user, group, account, class and QoS
