Maui-LSF Integration Guide
Maui can be used as an external scheduler for LSF. In this configuration, LSF manages the job queue and the compute resources while Maui queries the LSF daemons via the LSF scheduling API (only available in LSF 5.1 and higher) to obtain up to date job and node information. Using this
information, Maui directs LSF to manage jobs in accordance with
specified Maui policies, priorities, and reservations.
To build Maui with LSF, first source the LSF env file 'lsf.conf' and then run 'configure' and 'make'
To configure Maui, the parameter 'RMCFG[base] TYPE=LSF' must be set in the 'maui.cfg' file. (This should be handled automatically by the 'configure' step above.
NOTE: To allow the LSF scheduling API to properly function, the LSF env file 'lsf.conf' must be sourced into the environment before running Maui.
