Yes, that's a known problem in the 2.3 implementation;
it assumes that it can do a mapping from the vnode
supplied by the scheduler (node001/0) to the core number.
This doesn't work on sites that have core 0 in the boot
CPU set or are overcommitting cores on nodes. :-(
As a work around for boot cpusets you could alter your
RC scripts to put the last core, rather than the first,
into the boot set and as long as you have N-1 cores
defined in your nodes file then you're probably OK as
the scheduler will not then allocate core N.
Unfortunately not having a system that uses boot
cpusets I can't test it. :-(
