Thanks  again Garrick! I tried that (with a different job with the
same issues). Does not work.

qsig -s 0 233139
qsig: Unknown Job Id MSG=cannot locate job 233139.supernova.che.wisc.edu

It is very strange. I attach a longer snippet below from my mom_logs
but I'm confused about what is going on. If PBS does not think this
job is on the running queue why is it sending these messages back and
forth!
