Dear torque-community,
after a reboot of the server-node of a cluster the states of the nodes
as shown with 'pbsnodes -a' are a little bit strange:
node01
state = free
np = 4
properties = par
ntype = cluster
jobs = 0/10642.XXXX, 1/10642.XXXX, 2/10642.XXXX, 3/10642.XXXX
status = ...
Prior the reboot, 'pbsnodes -a node01' gave something like
node01
state = job-exclusive
np = 4
properties = par
ntype = cluster
jobs = 0/10642.XXXX, 1/10642.XXXX, 2/10642.XXXX, 3/10642.XXXX
status = ...
When a new job is started at this node, everything looks fine again:
node01
state = job-exclusive
np = 4
properties = par
ntype = cluster
jobs = 0/10887.XXXX, 1/10887.XXXX, 2/10887.XXXX, 3/10887.XXXX
status = ...
Is this a regular behavior or is this a bug?
Some details: SW: headnode: torque v2.1.6; (pbs_server)
maui 3.2.6patch18-snapshot1164120675
nodes: torque v2.1.6; (pbs_mom)
HW: nodes: Dual Opteron 275
Thank you in advance for your comments,
best regards,
Thomas Dargel.
