pbs_mom exits almost immediately with a no such file error when it
tries to execute kvm_open
Apple has removed /dev/mem and /dev/kmem from OS X x86, so the kvm
library no longer works.
with current versions of the kernel, you can try using the kmem=1
boot-time argument. this should re-enable /dev/mem, which is needed
by the kvm library.
you would set the kmem boot arg by running the following as root:
This temporary solution should work, but we will work to update TORQUE
to use preferred kernel interfaces for Darwin. Support for the boot
time kmem argument is not guaranteed in future kernel releases.
