oops, that was a typo. My script, however, was correct.

Thanks, that helped. MOM had thrown lots of "Permission denied" for
rename and copy operation errors. I searched the archive and found a
solution: I had to chmod 1777 both "spool" and "undelivered"
directories; afterwards things worked like a charm. I think I'll
escalate this downstream to the ATrpms package maintainers.
