Hmm, isn't this part of the scheduler configuration ?

For instance the Maui docs page gives the example:

 RESOURCELIMITPOLICY  MEM:ALWAYS:CANCEL 
 
 (Maui will cancel all jobs which exceed their requested memory limits.)
