In trunk there's a file README.new_in_4.0 which doesn't appear to be
in that tarball for some reason, might be a good idea to include it as
the online docs don't seem to mention what's new and diff'ing the v4
and v3 trees to find out seems a little sub-optimal. :-)
Oh, the online docs talk about untarring 2.3.4, might want to update
that too..
