I thought we had made it official but I looked through the archives and did not see anything. After this fix the 2.3 branch will be deprecated.

It was discussed (and I thought decided) prior to 2.5
being released but it doesn't look like it made it into
the 2.5 release announcement, so perhaps CR/AC changed
their minds on that ?
That fix has gone into the 2.3 SVN and there's a snapshot
out for it.
