Moab Workload Manager is about 2 MB and takes a couple of minutes to install and configure. Configuring the grid capabilities will only take a couple of minutes more. Moab Cluster Manager is about 26 MB. Download and installation takes 1-2 minutes. Moab Access Portal is only 7 MB and the simplified installation only takes a couple of minutes. Support includes LSF, TORQUE, LoadLeveler, Open PBS, PBSPro, BProc and Native-Batch with Condor and SGE under development. Currently, only Moab Workload Manager for Grids is available for evaluation from the Web site, however the Moab Access Portal for Grids is available upon request. You can choose to install Moab Access Portal on the head node or another server such as a Web server. You can choose to install Moab Access Portal on the head node or a remote workstation. Yes. You can also add an additional layer of security between the end-user's browser and Access Portal by encrypting all data in a SSL connection. The eval version of moab is installed using "make install" and uninstalled using "make uninstall". It should be noted that if you are using the default locations: binaries installed to /usr/local/{bin|sbin}, Moab home directory in /opt/moab, you are safe to simply install the newer version and it will overwrite the eval versions of the binaries while preserving your moab.cfg. |
