Moab Cluster Manager is a Java application, and as such requires a compatible Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to be installed and configured. Version 5.2.0 requires a Java 5.0 (or higher) compatible JRE. The Windows and Linux versions of Moab Cluster Manager come bundled with Java. However, if you are using an operating system other than Windows or Linux you will need to download a JRE from Sun's web site.

Extract the contents of the gzipped MCM tarball: `tar -zxf mcm-x.x.tar.gz` Next, enter the newly extracted directory: `cd mcm-5.2.0-01` Finally, launch Moab Cluster Manager: `./mcm`	Double-click on mcm-x.x.exe to install MCM Once installed double-click on the Moab Cluster Manager desktop shortcut to start the program.
