Moab 5.2 Now in Beta

Moab 5.2, scheduled for release in Q4, 2007, is now available for download — in Beta only — here. We have extended the Beta period for this version in order to allow more of our Moab users to test drive 5.2.

Software Updates and Releases

Patch 8 of Moab 5.1.0 was released to address an issue in the core scheduling. It is now available to download here.

Escalante Beta 2(code name for the full HPC-stack deployment solution based on Novell’s SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10) has been released and is in final beta test phase. Look for a deployment demo of Escalante at SC’07 in Cluster Resources’ booth – 1807. For more information go here.

TORQUE 2.2.0 After several months in development, we are happy to announce the release of TORQUE 2.2.0. We thank the community for their essential contributions. This new release includes support for "primitive" job arrays, support for Linux 2.6 cpusets, fixes for OS X compiling, and numerous other fixes/enhancements. See the CHANGELOG for a more complete list of changes. You can download TORQUE 2.2.0 here.

Live interactive demonstrations show how easy it is to evaluate Moab, and go into detail about the tools we provide that make the evaluation simple and effective.

The tutorial covers How to Use Moab, as well as the following:

 -Moab Architecture

 -Installation

 -Diagnostics and Troubleshooting

 -Admin tools

 -End User tools

 -Testing Modes

The next demonstrations are scheduled for Wednesday, November 28 at 1:00pm EDT and Thursday November 29 at 1:00pm GMT. If a time does not work for you, please contact us at eval-support@clusterresources.com to schedule a demonstration outside the current times. More times and sessions focused on Moab Grid Suite will follow. Times for November and December are posted as well.

To Register for one of the time slots, please go here.

Did You Know: Object Triggers

Moab can launch events or triggers based on virtually any event. Triggers can be associated with jobs, nodes, reservations, or the core scheduler and enable actions to be taken when the specified event, offset, and threshold criteria are satisfied.

For example an administrator can send an email to the owner of a particular reservation when the usage drops below a specific threshold, or a user can launch an evaluation script 5 minutes before a job is scheduled for completion.
